The ink project

Free tattoos. Funded by social media.

The Ink Project is dedicated to breaking down financial barriers in tattooing by turning art into content and content into opportunity. Through free tattoo drawings, storytelling, and community-driven experiences, I'm aiming to create a space where self-expression thrives, fandom and identity are celebrated, and tattooing becomes accessible to those who might not otherwise afford it. Social media pays for the session, you get your dream tattoo!

About the Ink Project

Mini Sessions are quick 1- 2 hour appointments, often built around a fun theme. With up to 8 or 9 winners in a single day, these sessions are perfect for smaller tattoos and give the most chances to win. Sometimes, getting a spot is as simple as being the first to claim an open slot; other times, it’s a raffle where names are pulled at random.

Epic Sessions are full 4-hour to full-day experiences dedicated to bringing someone’s dream tattoo to life. These sessions go deeper;  not only will I be creating a large, personalized tattoo, but I’ll also interview the client about its meaning and how it connects to their identity and self-expression. Because Epic Sessions are more intensive, the selection process can vary. At times, I’ll handpick submissions that fit a specific theme; other times, it might be a first-come-first-serve claim.

Types of Tattoo Sessions

Why I created The Ink Project

Right now, things are dicey in the tattoo industry. Times are tough, especially financially, both for myself and for many people who want tattoos. Because of this, it's harder for people to budget for the pieces they want, and that makes it harder for me to build a steady career in tattooing. Many artists have had to stop tattooing, and I’ve had to consider leaving tattooing as well. Even though I love being a tattoo artist, because of the unsteady income it's becoming unsustainable. Tattooing is not only a love of mine, it's the way I connect with amazing people and grow my interpersonal skills.

This content idea is my way of staying in the tattoo game while creating a win-win system. People get access to tattoos that they might not otherwise be able to afford, and I get to keep tattooing, building my platform, and creating a sustainable income stream through content. Additionally, it will serve as a way for me to improve my skills as an artist and have the privilege to explore the depth of human self-expression. This content will allow for me to get other people’s take on self-expression and how to encourage people to express themselves in a way thats true for them and not what society expects.

How to Win

Getting a chance to win a free tattoo is easy. Each month, there will be at least four opportunities to enter and win a spot.

Rules and Additional deetz

1. Respect and Inclusivity
The Ink Project is a safe space for everyone, especially LGBTQ+ individuals, women, and marginalized communities. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or disrespect will not be tolerated.

2. Eligibility
You must be 18 years or older to receive a tattoo. Valid ID is required at the time of the appointment.

3. Design Submissions
All tattoo ideas must align with my artistic style and themes. Realism or offensive imagery may not be accepted. All designs will be original — I will not tattoo copies of another artist’s work. The goal of The Ink Project is to create one-of-a-kind art catered to the person getting the tattoo.

4. Selection Process
There are two main ways to win a tattoo spot:
– Raffle Entry: Winners are chosen at random from eligible submissions.
– First Come, First Serve: Occasionally, tattoo spots are given to the first person to claim them when the announcement drops.

5. Session Types
– Mini Ink Sessions: Smaller 1–2 hour pieces, often themed. More winners, faster pace, and great for newcomers.
– Epic Ink Sessions: Larger, 4-hour to full-day sessions for dream tattoos. These are selected based on design fit and artistic vision.

6. Screening Process for Epic Sessions
Some Epic Sessions will be open entry, while others may require design approval. Since these tattoos are larger and more complex, I’ll screen submissions to ensure they fit my style and storytelling approach.

7. Consent and Release
All clients must sign a consent form and a content release form before the tattoo begins. This allows me to share and monetize the experience through video and social content.

8. Attendance and Punctuality
If selected, you must arrive on time for your session. No-shows or late arrivals may forfeit their spot.

9. Filming and Privacy
Tattoo sessions will be recorded for social media content. I will always respect your comfort level during filming, but participation in filming is required as part of the free tattoo exchange.

10. Positive Vibes Only
This project is about art, connection, and community. Come with good energy, respect for the process, and excitement to be part of something creative and meaningful.
